Winthrop Gardens have released details of their festive programme and there’s a great range of events and activities on offer – taking place down at Winthrop in the new Café. This year there’s a Festive Afternoon on a Saturday to make it more accessible to families and those at work during the week! On Monday 1st December, don’t miss their very popular Festive Flowers Demonstration by former florist and RHS Floristry Judge Kathryn Sherwood. Every year Kathryn comes up with really creative designs which she shows attendees how to do at home. This is followed by a Vintage Afternoon Tea and then a raffle of all Kathryn’s creations!
Then on Monday 8th December, Saturday 13th December and Tuesday 16th December are the popular Festive Afternoon Teas with mini Craft Market! There will also be a Christmas Quiz and musical entertainment from ‘Ukejam’, Winthrop’s resident Ukelele band. All events will be held at Winthrop Gardens in the lovely new Café and will start at 1.15pm for 1.30pm. The cost for each event is £20.00 per person and payment in full, in cash, is required to confirm the place(s). Collaborating with Clifton Park and the Rangers Team
Once again, Winthrop is collaborating with the Ranger team to promote the brilliant Christmas Wreath Making sessions they run in the Garden Room at Clifton Park. The sessions are really excellent value as you ‘twist your willow wreath’ and then decorate it from a fantastic range of greenery from the park. The two-hour tutor-led sessions are just £20.00 per person and this includes all the materials and a cuppa and a mince pie!
