Rehearsals on Monday evenings are in full swing for Ryton Chorale’s next concert on Saturday 15th November at 7.30pm in Worksop Town Hall. The programme will feature Snow Angel, a modern piece by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel, along with supporting pieces performed vocally, on piano and cello. Tickets are £12.00, with accompanied under-16s free.
Following last year’s successful Come and Sing, the event will be repeated on Monday 3rd November at 7.30pm in Holy Family School, Netherton Road, Worksop S80 2FS. This is a free evening, with no obligation, and open to anyone with an interest in singing. Please register in advance so enough music is available.
Ryton Chorale is a non-auditioning choir that sings in four parts, sometimes unaccompanied. New members will be welcomed in all sections, both male and female, with a probationary period while they settle in. It’s a chance to meet everyone, chat, and enjoy the music. The choir also welcomes sponsors and patrons to help support its work. Running a choir brings considerable expenditure, particularly when an orchestra or soloists are involved. Becoming a patron costs £40.00 per year and includes a ticket for four concerts – November, Christmas, Spring and Summer.
