On Saturday 20th September, 7.00pm, at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford, The Retford Lions are once again hosting Last Night of the Proms with an emphasis on quality and fun.
The line-up includes the guys and gals from The Hatfield and Askern Colliery Brass Band, who display quality and excellence in abundance. Also starring on the night will be Bass Baritone Martin Lamb, who has a fantastic voice and a great choice of songs.
The inaugural concert by the club in 2024 was outstanding and this second event has been organised in response to public demand. Organiser Bob Crampton said: “Whilst organising 2024 concert I persuaded my daughter, son-in-law and 23-year-old grandson to attend. They were very dubious about coming to the concert but at the end all of them were smiling and saying how fantastic the night was. They will definitely be coming to our 2025 concert without persuasion.
“So come on and join us, bob up and down, wave your flag (supplied) and just enjoy the evening. Bring your own drinks including alcohol if desired.”
