September is a busy month at Stag Community Church as all activities restart after the summer break.
The Cheeky Chicks Toddler Group takes place every Monday from 9.30am to 11.15am. On the last Wednesday of each month, the dementia-friendly ‘Memory Lane Café’ runs from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, open to all, with free musical entertainment from Lost Chord.
On Thursdays, there is the Kids Club from 6.15pm to 7.15pm, followed by the Youth Club from 7.20pm to 8.30pm. The church also hosts Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, and Guides, along with many other community groups. More details can be found on http://www.stagcc.org.uk.
Worship services are held every Sunday at 10.30am. The first Sunday is usually a Café-style service, where the congregation sits around tables in a more relaxed and informal way. Other Sundays follow a more traditional format, but there is always provision for children and youth.
The All-age Harvest Service, which also marks the 30th Rotherham Scouts Group’s 60th Anniversary, will take place on Sunday 21st September. A collection of non-perishable goods for the Rotherham Foodbank will be taken during this service. An afternoon Café Church will also be held on 21st September from 4.30pm to 6.00pm. All are welcome!
