The recent fashion show hosted by Worksop Rotary at The Crossing Church was very well attended and raised over £700 for Bassetlaw Food Bank and other local groups. Thanks are extended to the staff at The Crossing and to everyone who took part for their help in making the evening such a success. Fifteen Rotary members received Individual Volunteer Awards at the recent BCVS Awards event. This recognition was for 30 years of support for the Focus Welbeck Fun Run. Members have contributed by stewarding in the car park, registering runners, manning water points, and financing the purchase of participant medals. Each year, the Rotary President also presents the medals to all the runners. Members felt very humbled by the recognition and hope to continue supporting the event for the foreseeable future.
On Saturday 28th June, members attended the Langold Centenary Walk at Langold Country Park. Over 200 people took part, and Worksop Rotary distributed free books to all children who completed the course. Thanks are extended to all those who donated children’s books over the past year and helped make the event such a success.
