Discover something extraordinary in Keppel’s Field! On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August, an interactive outdoor installation will appear where friendship takes centre stage and creativity knows no bounds.
Explore, play, and connect with an installation designed by contemporary visual artist Pippa Hale and co-created with the local community, as part of a partnership project with Rotherham Museums, Arts and Heritage and Wentworth Woodhouse. Take your friends and family for an interactive adventure where you’ll marvel at this spectacular installation, explore your natural surroundings, spark creativity, and create shared memories. Children, young people and families will be represented in the formal, historic spaces of Keppel’s Column and Wentworth Woodhouse where previously only the wealthy and titled were made visible.
What to expect:
- Interactive installation and family activities with Pippa Hale! Pippa is a contemporary artist based in Leeds whose practice centres around social history, geography and play.
- Wild Wanders with Hayley and Sarah! Join them for guided walks through the woods each day from 11.45am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 2.15pm.
- Join the Flux Rotherham and Children’s Capital of Culture teams for playful activities and a nature trail.
Drop in all day (from 11.00am to 4.00pm) and join in for free – no booking is required.
