Wickersley Neighbourhood Group (WING) is a social group supporting elderly or isolated individuals in the Wickersley area. The group meets on Wednesdays during term time at the Barn, Church Lane, Wickersley S66 1ES. Anne Hudson, the group’s secretary, can provide more information about WING and its activities, and can also arrange transport to meetings. She can be contacted on 01709 542873.
There are no Barn meetings scheduled during August, but canal boat excursions have been organised for some members aboard the Tilly Barge on Wednesday 6th and Wednesday 13th August. The next full meeting of the group will take place on Wednesday 10th September from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Barn. New members are always welcome, as are new voluntary helpers. Anyone able to spare time on a Wednesday afternoon in September to serve refreshments, assist with activities or act as an escort on the Community Bus is encouraged to get in touch with Anne.
