There was a fantastic turnout and great weather for the Whiston Gala on Saturday 5th July. Whiston Parish Council received several really positive comments from people who thoroughly enjoyed the day and the variety of entertainment on offer, and all feedback will inform the plans for future parish events. Congratulations to the winners of the Whiston Gala Bake-Off competition held on the day. The Junior competition winner was Karmen Ward for her six decorated iced-buns, while the over 11s competition winner was Arriana Tonks-Brown for her Victoria sponge cake. Thanks are extended to PS Thorp Haulage Ltd, who kindly donated the prizes.
