Tie a Yellow Ribbon
On Saturday 19th July, Bassetlaw Hospice will once again invite families to celebrate the lives of their loved ones at the annual Tie a Yellow Ribbon event. Taking place in the grounds of Barnby Moor Memorial Park and Crematorium from 11.00am to 2.00pm, families can write a personal message on a yellow ribbon before tying it onto the dedicated pergola in the wildflower section – a peaceful setting for quiet reflection.
Ribbons are available for a minimum donation of £2.00 from the Hospice charity shops in Retford and Worksop, and will also be available on the day from the Hospice’s stand.
Yellow is the colour of hope and remembrance, and is often associated with hospices.

Family Fun Day
Bassetlaw Hospice’s popular Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday 26th July from 11.00am to 3.00pm in the Hospice grounds at Retford Hospital, North Road, Retford. With a variety of games for both children and adults, refreshments available, and plenty of seating to relax while the children play, it’s set to be a fantastic community event. Entry and parking are free, and all are welcome to go along and join in the fun.
Snowdon Challenge
The Hospice is currently seeking participants to join their team for this year’s Snowdon Challenge, taking place on Saturday 18th October. The team will travel together from the Hospice early in the morning to begin the climb via the Pyg Track route, led by professional guides.
