Andy’s Man Club
At their meeting on 8th May, Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club were joined by Richard and Ian from the Rotherham branch of Andy’s Man Club. They gave a presentation, sharing their personal experiences and how they became involved. It was a brilliant and moving insight.
As the club’s current president, Martin Davis, nominated Andy’s Man Club as his chosen charity, Rotarians were able to present the Club’s first cheque to the charity. Richard and Ian said it would keep one of their branches going for over a year. Please look at the Andy’s Man Club website and Facebook pages and understand what and how important the work is that they are delivering. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 54 in the UK and every life saved is precious and worth a fortune. Martin is looking forward to working with Richard and Ian and Andy’s Man Club on future projects.
Medicines for Ukraine
Rotherham Sitwell Rotary and Dronfield Rotary have combined to provide £1,200 worth of urgently needed drugs for Ukraine. Liz Hepworth of Dronfield Rotary is spearheading the project and she came over to Rotherham in May to collect the medicines. They are being couriered to Ukraine on an urgent basis.
International trip to Lisbon
Club members travelled to Lisbon in May on the annual international trip. They enjoyed the city sights as well as wonderful fellowship.
