The National Trust in North Nottinghamshire is gearing up for a busy summer and here are just some of the events they have planned:
Clumber Park
Summer of Play
Saturday 19th July to Sunday 7th September
With nine exciting play zones to choose from, families will be spoilt for choice with activities to suit every age and interest. Enjoy everything from sports and drama to nature and heritage. Straw bales will give a bird’s eye view of Clumber’s lost mansion, and the new sensory zone away from the action will provide a place to relax in.

Clumber Park Great Big Tree Climb
Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July
Explore Clumber Park from the treetops with The Great Big Tree Climbing Company. Using ropes and harnesses, ascend into the canopy of one of Clumber Park’s majestic trees and enjoy an exhilarating adventure at new heights.

Handlebards present Much Ado About Nothing
Saturday 26th July, 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Join the troupe at Clumber Park for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ like you’ve never seen before. In usual HandleBards style, expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.

TaleGate Theatre return with songs, slapstick and silliness, to present traditional, family-friendly pantomimes:

Becher Walks
Every Wednesday, 10.45am to 12.30pm
Step back in time and join Reverend John T Becher, founder of The Workhouse, on an historical 2.5 mile walking tour of Southwell as he highlights his connections with the town as a churchman, magistrate and social reformer during a period of great change.

Mr Straw’s House
Mr Straw’s House Worksop Walk
Fridays 25th July and 29th August, 10.00am to 1.00pm
Join the team for a guided walk through Worksop, the town the Straw family called home, and discover the places where they worked, worshiped, and wandered.
