On Saturday 15th March, a training day for the 1946 Marshals Association was held at the Hailwood Suite at Mallory Park race circuit in Leicestershire.
Retired Worksop Police Sergeant, John ‘Foxy’ Fowler, 85 years young, attended the ACU (Auto Cycle Union) training course, which must be successfully completed to perform marshalling duties at race meetings. John received his certificate from Chief Marshal Shaun Dalton at the end of the training session.
At the end of last season, ‘The Fox’ made a donation to the Marshals Association, which paid for their 2025 ACU accreditation and provided the Marshals with tea and coffee for the season. This gesture was acknowledged with a picture displayed on screen at the end of the morning session of the training day.
