WING – the Wickersley Neighbourhood Group – is a social club for elderly or isolated residents in the Wickersley, Bramley, Flanderwell, and Sunnyside areas. The group meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons during term time from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the Barn Church Hall, Church Lane, Wickersley S66 1ES.
Transport to and from the group can be arranged by the secretary, Anne Hudson, on 01709 542873, and she can provide more information on the various activities of the group. Entertainment varies from week to week, including musical performances, quizzes, bingo, beetle drives, speakers, and meals shared together.
There are four meetings in May: Wednesday 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. New members are always welcome, as are new volunteers to help with bus escort duties before and after meetings, serving refreshments, or assisting with activities during the meetings.
