Tickhill Parish Room is also known as Tickhill’s Mediaeval Community Hall. It is an ancient building with a very long history and it is probably one of the oldest buildings in the village. However, the building is well equipped for modern use – the facilities are all up-to-date, efficient and well looked after. With a full dinner service for 60 guests, an up-to-date kitchen, table cloths to hire and a lovely warm atmosphere, you can’t go wrong. There is also free Wi-Fi and a projector for hire.
If you haven’t been in before please think about popping in for a look. They are open every Saturday between 10.00am and 12.00pm for coffee and delicious things like scones, toasted teacakes and crumpets.
There’s also a wide variety of other classes, courses and events being held almost every day of the week. They recently had a Quiz Night which made over £140 for funds towards the upkeep of the Parish Room. Watch out for the next one in October time.
Apart from the usual events and classes, they have a VE Day Afternoon Tea booked for Thursday 8th May at 2.00pm. This costs £20.00 per person, funding in aid of St John’s Hospice with tickets available from 0300 0214871. Tickets are popular so don’t waste time – make that phone call and get it in your diaries!
