Rotherham Metro Ramblers walks for April 2025

Rotherham Metro Ramblers is a friendly and sociable local walking group with organised walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They have walks ranging from five miles to about 10 miles in a wide area, from local Rotherham walks to ones in the Peak District, and sometimes in North Nottinghamshire, and East and West Yorkshire.

They also have an annual coach ramble, and an organised walking holiday. You are very welcome try a couple of walks with them. See www.ramblers.org.uk/rotherham-metro for more information.
Here is a summary of the walks in April 2025:

  • Wednesday 2nd April: Clayworth, Gringley, Drakeholes, Chesterfield Canal, 10 miles
  • Saturday 5th April: Heath to Hardwick via Hardwick Park, 10 miles
  • Wednesday 9th April: Hades from Winscar reservoir returning over Snailsden Moor. 8.5 miles
  • Saturday 12th April: Norton circular, a leisurely walk through fields and villages, 8 miles.
  • Wednesday 16th April: Rotherham Ring Route stage 4 – Firbeck, Woodsetts, Lindrick. 11 miles
  • Saturday 19th April: Tideswell and the Dales, three steep climbs, 9.5 miles
  • Wednesday 23rd April: Rowsley, Darly Bridge, Stanton Moor, 9 miles
  • Saturday 26th April: Linacre Reservoirs and Cordwell Valley, 10 miles
  • Wednesday 30th April: Towton Battlefield Walk, 10 miles
