The Wickersley Neighbourhood Group (WING) meets on Wednesdays during term time from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the Barn, Church Lane, Wickersley, S66 1ES. The group provides local elderly or isolated people with the opportunity to socialise and take part in a variety of afternoon activities.
On Monday 4th March, Tony Dodsworth will give a talk on a walk from Rotherham to Wentworth Woodhouse in 1848. On Monday 11th March, Cath Joy will lead members in some gentle armchair exercises.
A band called The Elderly Brothers will perform on Monday 18th March, and there will be Bingo on Monday 25th March, alongside a Bluebell Wood charity stall raising funds for the local children’s hospice.
