Rotherham Metro Ramblers – Walks for March

Rotherham Metro Ramblers is a friendly and sociable local walking group that organises walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Walks range from five to ten miles covering a wide area, from local routes in Rotherham to walks in the Peak District, North Nottinghamshire, and East and West Yorkshire.

The group also arranges an annual coach ramble and an organised walking holiday. New walkers are very welcome to join for a couple of trial walks. For more information, visit www.ramblers.org.uk/rotherham-metro.

Below is a summary of the walks in March:

  • Saturday 1st March – Calver, Longstone Edge, and Rowland (9 miles)
  • Wednesday 5th March – Rotherham Ring Route, Stage 6: Maltby to Hooton Roberts (5.7 miles)
  • Saturday 8th March – Bradfield and Dale Dyke Reservoir (8.5 miles)
  • Wednesday 12th March – Hathersage, Stanage Edge, and Higger Tor (9 miles)
  • Saturday 15th March – Whittington and The Handleys (8 miles)
  • Wednesday 19th March – Church Warsop Circular (8 miles)
  • Saturday 22nd March – Two walks:
    • Ranger walk (5 miles, details to be announced on the website)
    • Langsett to Penistone Circular (10 miles)
  • Wednesday 26th March – Rotherham Ring Route, Stage 3: Harthill Circular via Thorpe Salvin (10.5 miles)
  • Saturday 29th March – Totley Moor and Longshaw Circular (9 miles)
