Herringthorpe United Reformed Church, located next to the Stag Inn on Wickersley Road, has a wide variety of activities planned for the New Year.
For children and young people, the church offers a range of groups, including the Cheeky Chicks Parent and Toddler Group on Monday mornings, a weekly Kids Club for those in school years 3 to 6, a Youth Club for those in school years 7 to 11, as well as Scout and Guide groups.
For adults, the Community Chat will take place on Saturday 11th January, from 10.00am to 12.00pm, and is open to anyone who would like to join for a free cuppa and a chat. The Memory Lane Café, a dementia-friendly space open to all, will meet on Monday 29th January and on the last Wednesday of every month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Free refreshments will be provided alongside musical entertainment by Lost Chord.
Additionally, the church is running a Hope Explored course on Sundays 12th, 19th and 26th January, from 4.30pm to 6.00pm. This course offers an opportunity to explore and ask questions about the hope at the heart of the Christian faith. It is free, and all are welcome to attend.
