At the recent meeting of Worksop and District u3a, Ali Watts, an independent worker, brought her dog Wilberforce and shared her passion for her beloved dogs.
She discussed the main considerations to bear in mind when buying a dog and highlighted signs to look for if a dog is not properly cared for. These signs include freedom, thirst and hunger, pain, injury and disease, fear, and distress.
The next meeting, on Thursday 17th October, will feature Gillian Squires, who will speak about Milton Mausoleum. All are welcome to attend. Meetings are held at the Civic Centre, Carlton in Lindrick, starting at 1.45pm with coffee, tea, and biscuits.
