On Sunday 28th July, Whiston Parish Church Cricket Club held its annual Charity Day in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
The featured match was a T20 game between a Junior XI and Belles XI and the Juniors claimed the Natalie Maw memorial trophy. A bumper raffle raised over £1,250 and was kindly supported by several local businesses.
The day was topped off by an auction which raised over £1,000 with items including a signed Reytons album and a signed Rotherham United shirt. The club was able to donate over £4,000 to the hospice.
