What we do
Aurora Wellbeing is a unique therapy service providing support in and with the community for people living with cancer and long-term health conditions including social isolation and loneliness. Their support embraces families and carers, and they promote good health and quality of life for everyone. Working to improve individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing is what they do.
Upcoming events and activities
- Their Wellbeing Wednesday is returning on the first Wednesday of every month, beginning Wednesday 2nd February.
- Their first Heritage Café launches on Tuesday 1st February. From then, it will take place on the first Tuesday of every month. Enjoy a new opportunity to socialise, meet new people, keep learning and explore Worksop’s past.
- The Paper Craft Group meet every Monday from 2.15pm to 4.00pm. All items are supplied and a donation from £2.00 person is welcome.
- The Friendly Crafters Group meet every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Each session costs £2.50 and everyone is welcome. Refreshments are provided.
- Yoga takes place every Monday from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.
- Pilates takes place every Friday from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.
- Tai Chi takes place at Shireoaks Village Hall every Wednesday from 12.00pm to 1.00pm.
- They will be launching an Aurora Explorer group in May 2022. This will be a programme of guided visits to local heritage sites and local attractions for people living with cancer and long-term health conditions, their families and carers in Bassetlaw.
