Although the Aurora Wellbeing Centre, Tearooms and Charity Shop have been open now for a couple of months, it has taken a while longer to have the Heritage Hub ready at the Old Library Building. Be among the first people to try out the virtual museum and see the displays where you can reminisce about Worksop and the places and objects you remember from ‘the good old days’!
Spotlight on: Aurora Beauty Therapy Services
As a cancer charity Aurora offers a care package which includes six free beauty treatments and holistic therapies for their cancer clients and two free treatments for their nominated carer (subject to conditions). To provide this service, which helps boost confidence and self-esteem whilst undergoing treatment or recovery from cancer, the group is looking to raise much-needed funds. You can help by booking a treatment with one of their trained therapists in their newly refurbished treatment rooms.
A range of treatments is on offer at very reasonable prices, including manicures, pedicures, back / neck / shoulder massages and eyebrow and eyelash treatments. ‘Holistic therapies’ on offer include reiki, reflexology and Indian head massage, which uses natural healing energy to promote regenerative self-healing. This is reported to encourage sleep and help reduce stress and anxiety. To book or to make further enquiries please ring Alli on 07827 231001 or 01909 470985.
You can also support the group at one of their upcoming fundraising events.
