As well as a climate crisis, our wildlife is facing a critical emergency.
More than 1 in 10 of over 8,000 species assessed in the 2019 State of Nature Report is at risk of extinction – with 1 in 4 UK mammal species at threat of being lost.
How can you help? There are two simple steps:
Attend the Rotherham Climate Action event
On Tuesday 16th November, from 7.00pm to 8.00pm, there is an event for the public to illustrate why nature needs your help. You can get a free ticket by searching ‘Nature Recovery Rotherham’ at www.eventbrite.co.uk.
Get involved – volunteer
Whether it’s helping to spread the message or work with other locals to help a nature recovery, you are more than welcome to be a part of the working group who meet once a month.
