Have you been thinking about volunteering?

by | 2 July 2019 | Local Charity, Rotherham

Local animal charity Rain Rescue are looking for volunteers to help in their Thurcroft charity shop. Founded in 2002, Rain Rescue has saved the lives of thousands of the dogs and cats most at risk in and around Yorkshire. Their Rotherham rescue centre provides the space and support needed for these abandoned animals to recover, thrive and find a loving home. There are multiple roles available from sorting, serving and displaying, to selling on eBay and listing items on their auction page.

At Rain Rescue you’ll be given the opportunity to use the skills you already have and take on challenges you enjoy, but you don’t need prior retail experience, because their dedicated team offer training. If you’re a good timekeeper with a friendly approach who loves animals, please consider helping this local charity.

“Our volunteers mean the absolute world and make such a huge difference to the homeless animals in our care and finding them loving new homes,” Lauren Sanderson, Deputy Charity Manager, said.

“I really enjoyed volunteering at the charity shop listing things on eBay to help bring in more funds for the cats and dogs!” said Liam Doyle, Rain Rescue volunteer.

Whether you’re looking to gain work experience, take on a new challenge or enjoy the company of like-minded people doing something that makes a difference, Rain Rescue are waiting to welcome you to the team. For more information please contact Sarah at sarah@rainrescue.co.uk or call 01709 252620.
