Local and Family History Surgery
Looking for help with family or local history? Library staff will be on hand in the local studies area to answer questions and show you resources that could help with your research.

Take a closer look at items not normally out on display including historical maps, old photographs and other hidden gems from the local studies collection.

Worksop Archaeological and Local History Society Exhibition
Don’t miss this free exhibition of local photographs and memorabilia collected by Worksop Archaeological and Local History Society.

The exhibition’s special focus will be on Worksop’s Railway Heritage, celebrating the ‘North Country Continental Boat Train’ which passed through Worksop Station every day from 1885 en route from Harwich to Liverpool until 1973.
It will also include information about the historical society, and old photographs of places of local interest in the town. The exhibition will be free to view in the library’s gallery throughout September and members of the historical society will be in the library on the 7th — come along to chat about the exhibition and share your own memories of the town.
