As another Christmas approaches, The Crossing Church and Centre in Worksop is gearing up for a busy and joy-filled season. Festive activities begin each Wednesday and Friday in December when the café opens for Advent Pauses at 11.00am. Each session will feature a carol singalong and an opportunity to donate to Bassetlaw Food Bank through the Reverse Advent Calendar.
The ever-popular Singing with Dementia Christmas Special takes place on Wednesday 10th December at 2.00pm, featuring live entertainment and a visit from Father Christmas. Everyone is welcome to join this fun afternoon. A Nativity Festival will be held on Saturday 20th December from 10.00am to 2.00pm, offering festive fun for all the family, including Christmas crafts and activities. This event is free to attend, and all are warmly welcome. On Christmas Eve, there will be a Carol Concert at 6.00pm, and on Christmas Day a service will be held at 10.30am. The Christmas season concludes with a special Christmas Tea on Boxing Day at 4.00pm for the homeless community and anyone who would otherwise be alone. The event offers a great meal and friendly company. Booking is essential – please contact the church for details or to reserve a place by calling 01909 473375 or emailing admin@thecrossing.co.uk.
