Success of Steel Band evening

Steelpantastic, U3A’s own steel band, had a hugely successful concert at the Civic Centre, Carlton in Lindrick, last month. Their enthusiasm and ability delighted the audience who were up on their feet and dancing! They shared the stage with Caribbean Melody, a professional steel band, with whom they had played before and whose vitality and vigour rocked the hall!

Members of the audience were treated to a platter of fresh fruit at the interval, which added to the Caribbean mood of the evening. Adults of all ages and even children enjoyed the stimulating rhythm of the steel drums and the popular songs.

Steelpantastic perform throughout the year at a variety of venues and — should you wish to see them again -—they will be performing a short concert of Christmas music at the Church in Clumber Park on Saturday 16th December, between 1.30pm and 3.00pm. They would be happy to see you there!
