Shipwreck on Stage

by | 10 October 2017 | Performing Arts, Worksop

Have you ever wondered how you’d react if you were shipwrecked on a small island with three other people? Dukeries Theatre Group offer you the chance to see what happens to four middle managers in just this situation when they present the hit West End comedy Neville’s Island at Worksop’s Acorn Theatre this October.

The setting is an outdoor team building exercise in the Lake District during November. Following their first clue things go horribly wrong and they are shipwrecked on a small island in Derwent Water. How will the carping Gordon, the devout Roy, the flustered Neville and the brooding Angus fare? Can they cope with the fog, the lack of food, the rules of celebrity French cricket and above all one another as they await rescue? Does adversity bring out the best or the worst in these disparate characters? Come and find out when this comedy is performed on 19th, 20th and 21st October at the Acorn Theatre. Performances begin at 7.30pm. All tickets are £10.00 and can be bought from the Acorn box office either in advance or on the night. For advance ticket sales call in or call 01909 501817.
