RAF back in Carlton!

by | 2 November 2017 | Community Event, Music, Worksop

Last year the Swing Wing of the RAF Cranwell came to Carlton-in-Lindrick to give a concert in aid of the Royal British Legion and the Royal Air Force Association, both military charities that support our forces and their families.Last year the concert raised over £1,250 which was shared between the local branches of these charities; this year organisers hope to do even better! All funds raised will again go to our local branches.

On Sunday 5th November the Swing Wing returning to the Civic Centre, off Long Lane, Carlton-in-Lindrick, for another exciting night of music — Big Band style! Tickets are priced at £12.50, which includes a souvenir programme, and the concert commences at 7.00pm, the doors and bar open at 5.45pm. There will also be a raffle to raise more money for the charities, who will both have a merchandise stall. This event is in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday, when we all pay our respects to those we have lost, and this is just another way in which we can support our service charities.

Tickets are going well and if you would like to enjoy a really good evening, tap your feet to some seriously good music, and do something to support these wonderful charities, please call the Civic Centre on 01909 541127 for tickets, or call in at the Civic Centre during office hours, between 9.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Saturday.

If you are unable to attend this event but would like to make a donation then please contact the Civic Centre; your help will be appreciated.
