Follow the yellow brick road!

If ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is one of your favourite films, or you have been lucky enough to see it on stage, then now is your chance to be in it.

The Worksop Light Operatic Society has chosen this fantastic family musical as their May 2018 production, and auditions to take part will be held shortly.

The society are looking for talented people to play both principal and chorus parts, from the roles of Dorothy herself and her friends the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Lion to those of the witches and the Munchkins, and lots of smaller roles in between!

The auditions will all be held at the Miners’ Welfare, Gateford Road, Worksop. Those for principal roles are to be on Sunday 5th November, and for children and adults interested in being a Munchkin, on Sunday 12th November. Adults wishing to audition for a role as a Munchkin may be of any age but should ideally be less than 5ft 2in tall.

Following their successful production of ‘Annie’ in May this year, the members of this friendly and popular society have been taking a well-earned break, but are ready to begin rehearsals for ‘The Wizard of Oz’ after Christmas. Now is your chance to join them, so please get in touch.
