The run up to Christmas is always a busy time. For the popular local choir, The Musicality Singers, this year, it’s especially busy with performances at several different events in December. Their own Christmas concert has become a key part of Worksop’s Christmas music scene — drawing, in past years, capacity audiences at The Crossing. This year, to ring the changes, they’ve revised and refreshed the format of the concert.
What is still guaranteed, though, is some great entertainment and lots of enjoyment, as the choir lives up to its reputation of being ‘like a proper choir, but more fun’. The concert is on Wednesday 19th December at The Crossing. Doors open at 7.00pm and the performance begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from The Crossing.
Before then, if you want to check out different facets of The Musicality Singers, you can catch them at the Co-op’s ‘Light a Candle’ Service (Friday 7th December, 6.00pm at St John’s Church in Worksop) or at the Christmas Carol Service at St Luke’s Church, Shireoaks (Sunday 9th December at 6.30pm) or at a charity event at the Swan pub in Worksop aiming to raise funds to help the homeless. This is a chance to have fun, to hear good music and maybe have a drink, while feeling good about yourself for helping to raise money for a good cause on Sunday 16th December at 3.00pm.
So, it’s definitely a busy time ahead for this popular and in demand community choir. Let’s hope that after all that, they have a nice, restful Christmas.
