Christmas Fayre
On Saturday 18th November Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be holding their fundraising Christmas Fayre at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford, where the doors will be open from 10am till 2.00pm. Alongside the Hospice’s signature Pop Up Shop, with clothing and accessories available for the festive season, there will also be a variety of stalls selling items such as gifts, crafts, books and a raffle. Refreshments will also be available along with delicious home -made cakes to take away or sit and eat with a cuppa in the relaxing café area, before browsing for more bargains. To add to the festive theme, the Dukeries Ukeries Ukulele group will be playing a variety of Christmas music and other firm favourites throughout the day.

Christmas Memory Stars
On Friday 1st December Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be holding their Christmas Memory Star event in the grounds outside the hospice from 6.30pm. Everyone is invited along to hang their star then take a moment to reflect whilst the tree is illuminated with hundreds of lights. There will be complementary refreshments available to keep everyone warm whilst the choir from Dunham on Trent Primary School sing some Christmas favourites.
The wooden stars are available now for a minimum donation of £2 from the Hospice charity shops in Worksop & Retford and the Hospice Tea Bar situated in the outpatient entrance of Retford Hospital.
You can personalise your star with the name of a loved one, a message or simply decorate as you wish and if you prefer you can keep it to hang on your own Christmas tree at home.
If you would like a star placed on the tree but are unable to attend the event please contact the Appeal office on 01777 710444, donations can be made over the phone and your message can be written for you and your star placed on the tree.
