Parkinson’s UK Bassetlaw Branch

by | 3 December 2018 | Support Group

The November meeting of Bassetlaw Branch Parkinson’s UK was well attended and, once again, new members joined the group to a warm welcome. Tricia Richardson gave an excellent presentation on the importance of exercise for people with Parkinson’s and the various levels available.

The next meeting will be the Christmas party on Tuesday 4th December, with a pie and pea buffet and festive desserts.
The branch continues to grow as more people accept the hand of friendship and support members offer. No-one should feel alone with Parkinson’s disease and help and understanding is readily available for everyone, both patients and their families. The programme of events includes a lunch club at The Lockkeeper every two months, ceramics classes, computer classes, pilates and regular trips to theatres and places of interest and enjoyment. November saw members enjoying White Christmas at The Acorn Theatre and a carvery lunch. Branch members will also participate in the Christmas Tree festival at The Priory Church (from 29th November to 3rd December).
