The October meeting of the Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK was very well attended despite the heavy rain. The group welcomed Mike Storr, who gave an hilarious talk about ‘Masters of Mirth’ — the tales of the old comedians of stage and radio. The whole presentation was full of fun, leaving many in tears of laughter. The perfect way to dispel the gloom of the weather. Hopefully, Mike will join them again for more stories in the coming months.
The meeting on Tuesday 5th November at 2.00pm at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue will welcome James Davies to talk about the benefits of Tai Chi for people with Parkinson’s disease. Members will also meet at The Aurora Centre on Tuesday 19th November for an afternoon of tea, cakes and friendship. This will be a hugely popular get together.
New members join the group every month and are warmly welcomed. For more information about the many activities call Chris Coldwell on 01909 730629.
