Les Francophiles de Tickhill

by | 4 February 2020 | Social Group

On Wednesday 7th February at 7.30pm, Mike Scragg, one of Les Francophiles de Tickhill’s former chairmen, will demonstrate his French cookery skills, acquired whilst on a Cordon Bleu course in France, to the rest of the group. These include knife skills, showing useful tools and tricks with eggs. Come and see “comment ça se fait”.

The following month, on Wednesday 7th March at 7.30pm, the group shall welcome Peter Storey, who will give an illustrated talk on René Fournier, the aircraft designer. As an “aeronut” this Frenchman, now in his nineties, has spent a lifetime designing and building light aircraft, classed as motor gliders, because of their large wingspan.

Meetings take place at the Parish Room, Tickhill, DN11 9HZ on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm.

Refreshments are provided afterwards with a chance to socialise and converse in French. You can enrol now at a reduced fee or come as a visitor at a charge of £3.00. Further details are available from Janet Erridge on 01302 745281.
