The White Hart Syndicate has been established for two years in Ollerton and comprises of the same enthusiastic members every Sunday who meet at the White Hart. Over the past two years, the syndicate have raised £8,000 for the Bluebell Wood Hospice, Sheffield. The money has been donated to help look after terminally ill children and provide essential equipment for end of life care. In addition, £150 has been donated towards Lyra’s well-being as she has cerebral palsy.

In a clash of colours, Alan Shaw recently decided to have his hair dyed in the blue of Manchester City and, not to be outshone, Dave Shaw opted for the red of Manchester United. The rivals raised a magnificent £220, which is going towards the purchase of a defibrillator box for Ollerton Village. Ollerton Village Residents Association (OVRA) wishes to say a heartfelt thank you to the father and son fundraising duo of Alan and Dave Shaw along with all the regulars of the syndicate for their generosity and community spirit. Moreover, Andrea and Paul Renshaw the hosts at the White Hart who are so very supportive of events to raise money for local charities and go the extra mile with their backing.

OVRA is continuing to raise funds to buy a defibrillator and box to be sited in Ollerton Village. The association has a site meeting with members of Ollerton and Boughton Town Council to explore ideas concerning the installation of the box.
