Sponsored run for Baby Loss Awareness Week

by | 4 October 2018 | Community Focus, Sherwood

Would you like to challenge yourself to run a few miles this October? If so why not join the virtual team challenge organised by local resident Emily Bloomer. The 9th to 15th October is Baby Loss Awareness Week.

During this week a team put together by Emily, is challenging themselves to see how many miles in total they can run to raise awareness of miscarriage and baby loss and to raise money for The Miscarriage Association, who support people through these times. They are looking for more team members to help us spread the awareness through #milesformiscarriage.
There is no minimum amount of miles to run, you choose the distance and the pace, you can run wherever you like, whenever you like and as many or few miles as you like. The miles will be added into a total at the end of the week and everyone who takes part will receive a medal.

If you would like to join in then please take a look at the event page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/events/255370145079211/?ti=icl or email emilybloomer85@gmail.com. In order to sign up a minimum donation of £10.00 will be required to Emily’s fundraising page, which can be found at www.virginmoneygiving.com/EmilyBloomer. This is a great charity which helps a lot of people and any support would be greatly appreciated. Happy running!
