Ryton Chorale

After a year of Zoom, Ryton Chorale is back together singing live again. Rehearsals started in the second half of August. In an email to choir members after the first ‘proper’ rehearsal, conductor and Director of Music Simon Lumby thanked the choir for such hard work. Members will know how hard he worked too. He said that he had really come away, was ‘so enthused’ and added: “I think our next concert is something about which we can be quietly excited.”
It will be the first of what will be a series of very exciting concerts. Tickets for the 6th November concert in The Crossing, called ‘Sing We and Chant It’, and details of all the season’s concerts are on the choir’s new website, www.rytonchorale.org.uk, where tickets at £10.00 can now be bought in advance online and collected on the door or posted.
At the time of going to press it is not compulsory to wear face coverings, however The Crossing strongly encourages it to help maintain a COVID-safe environment for the audience and choir alike. The choir appreciates singing to an audience and hopes that you, with family and friends will be there.
