Home-Start Newark was pleased to be able to offer families a day out at White Post Farm this summer after securing funding from Keith Girling via the Nottinghamshire County Council Councillor’s Divisional Fund.
Two coaches full of excited children set off on Tuesday 8th August to meet meerkats, a porcupine, snakes, lizards, guinea pigs, piglets, ducks, chickens and goats. Everyone was treated to a wonderful display from Chesney the peregrine falcon as he performed his impressive aerial acrobatics, and the children enjoyed the play park and picnics in the (mostly) sunny weather.
A huge thank you to the funders, staff of White Post Farm and Marshalls coaches for enabling families to share experiences and make wonderful memories.
