Looking for a fun, friendly and active way to start a Sunday morning? Dukeries Junior parkrun offers children the chance to run, jog or walk in a welcoming community event designed especially for young people. Junior parkrun is a free weekly event for children aged four to 14 and is organised entirely by volunteers. The emphasis is on participation, enjoyment and building confidence, making it suitable for children of all abilities.
The 2km course takes place every Sunday morning at Turner Lane Field, next to Dukeries Leisure Centre, Boughton NG22 9JL. Children can take part at their own pace, whether they are keen runners aiming for a personal best or simply looking to enjoy being active outdoors with friends and family.
Junior parkrun is about much more than running. It provides an opportunity for families and the wider community to come together, enjoy fresh air and support healthy lifestyles. Volunteers are always on hand to encourage participants and help create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
The event starts at 9.00am every Sunday and new participants are always welcome. Families interested in taking part can simply register with parkrun and go along on the day.
