Winthrop Gardens is delighted to announce a series of Afternoon Tea events being held in the run up to Christmas.
Councillor Sue Ellis, Chair of the Winthrop Committee, said: “Our Festive Afternoon Teas have always been hugely popular and this year we’ll be hosting them in the comfort and COVID-safe environment of the Wickersley Community Centre.
“We do understand that there is still a degree of nervousness about indoor events which is why we are holding these events in this more spacious venue where social distancing between tables can be assured and where every attention has been given to assuring the safety of our guests – including our new equipment to monitor air quality.”
The programme starts on Wednesday 10th November with a Christmas Flowers Demonstration – followed by an Afternoon Tea; on Saturday 13th November there will be a Christmas Confectionary Demonstration followed by Afternoon Tea – they then move onto their series of Festive Afternoon Teas on Wednesday 24th November, Wednesday 8th December, Saturday 11th December and Saturday 18th December. All events are in the afternoon at 2.15pm for 2.30pm, cost £12.50 per person and must be pre-booked.
Full details can be found on the Winthrop website, www.winthropgardens.org.uk, and on the Winthrop Facebook page, @WinthropGardens, and there are fliers available at Winthrop Gardens, where bookings should be made.
