  • Twelve Days of Christmas
    Saturday 9th December, 11.00am – 3.00pm
    Lots of fun Christmas things for everyone, children crafts, choir and stalls.

    Tuesday 12th December
    10.30am – 12.00pm and 1.00pm – 2.30pm
    Christmas craft fun for the little one, get creative with paints, sticking etc. Messy clothes recommended.

  • Santa Dash
    Sunday 3rd December, 10.00am – 3.00pm
    Santa Claus is coming to town!
    Santa will be arriving in style to officially start the Santa Dash for Rotherham Hospice!
    We are calling all Santa’s little helpers to come along to Clifton Park to have fun and raise funds for your local hospice. We will also be welcoming Santa’s arrival as he lands in the grounds of Clifton Park in his helicopter and you could be joining him!
    A family of four could be in with a chance of winning this unique helicopter flight with Santa from Multiflight Leeds/Bradford to Clifton Park on the morning of the dash. Simply enter the draw by ordering online or requesting your tickets from the fundraising team at Rotherham Hospice 01709 308917. Tickets are £1.00 each. T&Cs apply
    After his exciting entrance, Santa will start the one mile family friendly dash around the park, and then afterwards will be in his grotto where you can nip along and say hello, have your picture taken and receive a gift. Everyone is welcome.
    We are asking all participants to raise £25.00 per person or as much sponsorship as they can to support the hospice this Christmas. £25.00 could fund a patient and their family to spend this precious Christmas together.
    New this year — There will be a Christmas Market in the park to stroll around from 10.00am to 3.00pm courtesy of Little Wolf Events

  • Festive Wonderland
    2nd December, 10.30am – 3.30pm
    Join us at this magical event for your chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto, enjoy the entertainment and craft activities, but most of all have fun! As part of this event there will also be free activities and entertainment including an inflatable snow globe, crafts to make and take home, the Goodometer, snow machine, face painting and the Mischievous Elves will be balloon modelling too!

  • A Victorian Christmas
    9th December, 10.30am – 3.30pm
    Step back in time at this wonderful seasonal event with traditional entertainment and activities.
    See The Great Alakazam’s Victorian Varieties and look out for hilarious carol-singing walkabouts Dizzy and Dotty. Meet Professor Warf and Miss Weft the Victorian Time Travellers and enjoy a virtuoso strolling musical performance from the Dickensian Ding Dong. Plus, Wizard Diamond will be entertining the crowds with his fantastic Punch and Judy Show.
    There will be a market on Effingham Street selling an eclectic mix of goods including some great ideas for Christmas gifts. Plus, free mulled wine, craft-making workshops, Victorian dancers and the Chapel on the Bridge will be open from 10.30am until 2.30pm.
    Free Saturday parking in all Council-owned off street car parks and on-street metered parking bays. Maximum stay still applies.
  • Magical Reindeer Parade
    16th December
    10.30am – 3.30pm
    Come along and meet the real reindeer and Father Christmas at this magical family event.
    The City of Sheffield Pipe Band will be leading the parade which will set off at 12.45pm travelling around town and entering a viewing area outside Boots where the reindeer will stay until 3.00pm.
    Thorpe Hesley Brass Band will also be playing on the day and The
    Maniacs will be bringing lots of festive silliness to the proceedings!

    packed solid with comedy, excitement and adventure, the children will love to cheer their hero Aladdin and boo the evil Abanazar.

  • Christmas Fayre
    Friday 1st December and Saturday 2nd December
    Join the festive fun at Thrybergh Country Park this Christmas. Our popular Christmas Fayre is now over two days.
    Friday 1st December will be a magical after dark experience. For children, Santa will be in his Grotto from 3.30pm along with children’s entertainers and craft activities. Adults with or without children can enjoy live music, mulled wine, festive food and a browse around our local independent market stall holders until 9.00pm.
    Saturday 2nd December will start at 11.00am with the arrival of father Christmas on his speed boat. Until 4.00pm you can enjoy live music, local independent market stalls, festive food and drink, children entertainers, fairground rides, lost elf’s treasure hunts and lots more.
    There is also a beautiful reservoir walk to explore. Tutti Frutti Ice cream parlour and Lakeside Café are also getting into the festive spirit.

  • Jack and the Beanstalk
    30th November to 7th January
    Watch Jack try to defeat the almighty Giant and the villain Fleshcreep in the hope of winning Princess Jill’s heart. Rotherham’s pantomime will be sure to make you feel festive, filled with magical song and dance routines, loads of audience interaction and hilarious jokes.This year’s star cast includes Coronation Street’s Nigel Pivaro, better known as infamous bad boy Terry Duckworth, as Fleshcreep, and the handsome Andrew McGuire, who played Sammy in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, as Jack.
    Tickets range from £12.00 to £16.00 and family tickets available.
