What’s on at St Bartholomew’s in July

by | 1 July 2017 | Community Event, Rotherham

There will be lots happening at St Bartholomew’s in July:

Strawberries and Cream Garden Party
Saturday 1st July from 1.30pm to 4.00pm
If the weather is fine it will be held outside in the church grounds. Several stalls, including cakes, tombola, books and nearly new will provide a pleasant pastime for a summer afternoon.

Bring and Share Lunch
Sunday 23rd July
After the morning service, a celebratory Bring and Share Lunch will mark the church community’s achievements in making £10 notes grow to help with the roof appeal. Parishioners have been raising money with initiatives throughout the summer. We have had to intervene urgently with roof repairs when it was discovered that water has been dripping on to the organ structure. There is still lots more to do and the fundraising goes on.

Coffee Morning
Saturday 29th July from 10.00am to 12.00pm
A continental breakfast with croissants and Danish pastries.

Coffee and Company
A new initiative has begun in the parish rooms on Tuesday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00pm. It is free and called Coffee and Company. Its aimed at anyone who would enjoy a chat and company, it is not just for church members. An informal programme is on offer but you do not have to join in the activities unless you would like to. Some examples of activities are a morning learning to knit, crochet, simple cookery, gardening ideas, a quiz morning or perhaps a game of dominoes or whist. Just come along and enjoy the company. Lifts can be arranged if getting to the parish rooms is difficult.

If you wish to book a wedding or Christening please come to church on any Monday evening (except bank holidays) between 6.00pm and 7.00pm. No advance appointment is needed.
