RSPCA Doncaster and Rotherham

As Christmas draws closer, staff are all getting very excited at RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District branch. Here are some of the many festive events they will be attending and hosting this year.

RSPCA DRB Christmas Fair

On Saturday 19th November, the branch will be hosting a Christmas Fair at The New Hall in Bawtry. On the day they will be serving hot drinks and snacks such as sausage rolls and mince pies, alongside a selection of sweet treats. There will be over 20 stalls to go and have a look around as well as a kids’ corner with fun colouring and craft activities, not to mention a visit from Santa! All money raised will contribute towards the daily running of the centre and help support the animals in care.

Stock the Sleigh

In preparation for the festive season, the RSPCA is asking for your support. They want to provide the animals in care with as much love and feeling of a home as possible; therefore, for Christmas 2022, they are relaunching the much-loved ‘Stock the Sleigh’ annual appeal. They invite keen animal lovers and RSPCA supporters to donate items that will benefit the animals in care. These items can come in a variety of forms from food, toys and treats.

The RSPCA believes that the Christmas cheer should be spread to our furry friends too; your toy and treat donations will make great stocking fillers for the animals to open on Christmas morning whilst any blanket donations will help keep everyone nice and cosy in the colder months.

There will also be raffle tickets sold in-store and online for those who want to be in with a chance of winning a Christmas hamper! This will be available to view next to the sleigh.

Markham Grange

On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November, the branch will be at Markham Grange Garden Centre, where they will have a stall showcasing some branded goods, products from the pet supplies shop and some Christmas goodies.

Bawtry Christmas Market

On Sunday 4th December, the branch will be attending Bawtry Christmas Market where they will have a stall, selling pet supplies, Christmas goods and branded merchandise.

And as always, please don’t forget the animals who are looking for their forever homes! You can see those awaiting their forever families on the branch website,
