Recycling ink to help the environment and support a local group

by | 1 June 2017 | Community Focus, Local Charity, Rotherham

What do you do with printer ink cartridges when you’ve used them up? Throw them away? Refill them? Instead of throwing them away, would you help the environment and a local group? Feed Our Communities is collecting a variety of ink cartridges to recycle and raise funds for its work.

The group is looking for HP, Dell, Lexmark, Canon, Samsung and Neopost cartridges but please do not donate Epson or Kodak cartridges, as these will not be accepted for recycling.

All cartridges will be inspected prior to being sent off for recycling. You can help by not sending any cartridges that:

  • Are damaged.
  • Have been previously refilled.
  • Contain other labelling other than those specified above.
  • Have been tampered with and have had labels removed or extra holes.

Your help will raise small amounts of money for a local cause and reduce the amount of items sent to landfill. For more information or to arrange collection of ink cartridges, please contact Emma Boswell on 07812 802021 or email emma.communityfeed@yahoo.com.
