Peter Pan flies into Dinnington

by | 19 August 2017 | Performing Arts, Rotherham

“Do you believe in fairies?” was the cry from Peter Pan to the audience as the children of New Youth Theatre Rotherham brought Neverland to the Lyric Theatre Dinnington, in their production of the well-known children’s classic by J M Barrie.

Performing in front of a sold out, enthusiastic audience, Wendy, John and Michael were whisked off to Neverland with Peter and Tinker Bell for adventures with the Lost Boys, Pirates and Indians.

Stand out performances by Lily Lambert as Peter, Olivia Thornton as Wendy and William Petta as Captain Hook ensured the audience had a great time and the standing ovation was a just reward for the hard work put in by the whole cast of young performers.

The New Youth Theatre concept is simple. Children are taught how to develop and improve their performing arts skills whilst rehearsing for a fully staged musical each term. This unique approach to musical theatre brings children of all ages together to learn new skills, have fun and be on stage!

Children aged six to 14 are being invited to be in Rotherham New Youth Theatre’s next production Oliver! For details on how to join the cast call 01302 537737 or visit www.newyouththeatre.co.uk/rotherham.
