If you’ve heard brass renditions of ‘500 Miles’, ‘The Muppets’ or ‘Eye of the Tiger’ while wandering around Maltby recently, you may well have been listening to the town’s training band.
Spring gigs around Maltby have included the Community Festival on Manor Fields as well as concerts at St Barts’ and the Wesley Centre, and you can find the band practicing every Saturday morning at the Edward Dunn Centre too.
Maltby Miners Welfare Training Band continues to grow in numbers and in confidence, and they have an exciting autumn ahead of them, with more performances at the Wesley Centre (13th September) and the Rotherham Heritage Day (10th October), as well as their first ever contest!
