A new disability network for Rotherham has been launched. The launch was agreed following a meeting of over 30 disabled people on Wednesday 28th June to discuss ways the disabled community could work together to share information, improve communication and lobby statutory authorities to deliver on their Duty of Care for the disabled. Objectives for the network, as well as activities and actions for the future, have been discussed.
Steve Ruffle, from Rotherham Federation of Communities, said: “There is a real strength in the disabled community working together and supporting one another and Rotherham Federation is pleased to be facilitating this new network.”
