Firbeck’s popular biennial Scarecrow Festival returns this August, offering a fun-filled day out for visitors of all ages. Check it out on Saturday 15th August, from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
This year’s theme is ‘Famous People’, with more than 30 scarecrows displayed throughout the village. Visitors can look out for recognisable figures including David Bowie, Florence Nightingale and Taylor Swift, along with many others. The Village Hall will host a range of attractions throughout the day, including family games in the garden, children’s crafts, bric-a-brac, plant and book stalls. Refreshments, including homemade sandwiches and cakes, will also be available.
To make sure no scarecrows are missed, visitors can purchase a trail map for £1.00 from the Village Hall before setting off. All completed and returned trail entries will be entered into a prize draw.
