A superheroes workshop on Sunday 9th July proved to be a super-duper, fun-filled afternoon for a group of five to 11 year olds. These children are in the Siblings Group at Bluebell Wood Hospice and the workshop, run by arts therapist Claire Vinning with helpers from Bluebell Wood, gave the children the opportunity to create their very own superhero or supervillain.
The children used their imagination and a variety of media to give their supermen (or superwomen!) special superpowers. Refreshments made an enjoyable interval in the proceedings and the children were very proud of their work. The workshop was sponsored by a Young Arts project grant from The Arts Society Dukeries (formerly known as Dukeries Decorative and Fine Arts Society) which meets at St Anne’s Church Hall in Worksop, and Worksop Rotary Club.
